Woodlands at Canterfield/West Dundee

Our Woodlands at Canterfield Senior Living site is now under construction and below is an update on our construction work in progress.

CONSTRUCTION

Our general contractor, McShane, has now delivered the construction trailer and their team is now on-site full time. The site utility improvements for water, sanitary, and storm mains are underway and nearing completion. The building pads are 80% filled and the black dirt has been stripped. The roadway in-fill has now begun and we will continue
with the foundation work, and installation of the foundation wall between memory care and the common area is in progress. Looking ahead, McShane will be continuing with the foundation and pad work with the preparation of the underground and flats work to follow. The weather has been favorable for work to keep on pace for our completion target of Q2 2023.

  • Started wall panel layout and framing at the AL Wing’s A and B.
  • Started pouring the SOG at the Memory Support Wing.
  • Started videotaping the sanitary lines.
  • Finished installing the ComEd transformer pads.
  • Finished the field work for the foundation as-built.
  • Mini Milestone:  With exception to the four (upper) P24 Porte Cochere Piers, all of the foundation work has been completed and backfilled.
  • Continued installing the empty conduit sleeves for ComEd’s primary feeders.
  • Continued on storm sewer – site utility work.
  • Continued the field work for the site utility as-built.
  • Continued underground plumbing and electrical underground at the Commons Wing.
  • Finished installing the stone sub-base at the entire Memory Support Wing.
  • Sanitary Testing with West Dundee/HBK Engineering.
  • Passed our Fire Flush Test Inspection with the West Dundee Fire Marshal and West Dundee Public Works.
