Fleming Building

The Fleming Building, located at 604 Walnut in Des Moines, Iowa is an 11-story historic property that was designed and built in 1909 by the world-renowned architect Daniel Burnham as an example of the technical innovations in tall building construction at the time.

The adaptive mixed-reuse of the property will take advantage of the property’s underutilization to add value by converting the current office space to a mix of commercial and residential units. The company expects to add retail, office, and restaurant uses on floors 1-2. The remaining eight levels, composed of 80 residential market-rate apartments, will meet the demand for rental housing in the Central Business District.
